Murió reconocido fotógrafo de moda Peter Lindbergh a los 74 años: celebridades lamentaron su partida

El fotógrafo de moda alemán Peter Lindbergh, conocido como el “padre” del fenómeno de las supermodelos, falleció el martes a los 74 años, dejando un inmenso legado de icónicas fotografías en blanco y negro.

Nacido en Polonia en 1944, Lindbergh colaboró con numerosas revistas a lo largo de su prolífica carrera, como Vogue, Vanity Fair, Harper’s Bazaar y The New Yorker. Estuvo detrás de muchas campañas publicitarias así como de varias ediciones del famoso calendario Pirelli, la última de ellas en 2017.

“Considerado como un pionero en su arte, supo redefinir la fotografía de moda contemporánea y sus estándares de belleza sublimando a las mujeres de todas las edades”, según un comunicado enviado este miércoles a la AFP por su familia, en el que no se precisa ni el lugar ni las circunstancias de su muerte ocurrida el martes.

“Retoco muy poco mis imágenes, no quiero deformar ni masacrar a las mujeres”, explicó hace unos años el fotógrafo fascinado por la “geografía” de los rostros, ante un auditorio de estudiantes.

En su cuenta de Instagram, un mensaje anunciaba paralelamente su fallecimiento, con una fotografía en blanco y negro de un estudio vacío.

Lindbergh seguía activo y muy recientemente fotografió a la cantante española Rosalía para la revista Vogue España.

Participó además en la edición británica de septiembre de la prestigiosa publicación, un número coordinado por Meghan Markle y en el que fotografió a varias celebridades, desde la actriz Salma Hayek hasta a la joven defensora del medioambiente sueca Greta Thunberg.
