Hace un año y medio la actriz estadounidense Shannen Doherty fue diagnosticada con cáncer de mamas y desde entonces se encuentra batallando contra él.
Doherty, recordada por sus papeles en Beverly Hills 90210 o Charmed, quiso tomar este obstáculo de forma positiva y así lo ha transmitido en sus redes sociales.
En ellas ha compartido parte del proceso que ha vivido desde marzo de 2015, entre las que destaca una imagen del primer día de radioterapia en el hospital.

“Parece que estoy a punto de huir, lo cual es preciso de decir”, escribió Shannen junto a la instantánea donde se ve sentada en un sillón de hospital, sin nada de cabello y con una manta en sus piernas.
A estas palabras agregó: “La radioterapia me aterroriza. Es algo relacionado con no poder ver el láser, ni ver el tratamiento, y tener esa máquina moviéndose alrededor de ti simplemente me asusta. Estoy segura de que me acostumbraré, pero ahora mismo… Lo odio”.
Doherty ha sido un ejemplo para muchas personas con la enfermedad, pues pese a las dificultades se muestra optimista.

I"m lucky to have such a great team!!! Dawn has been taking care of me from pretty much the start along with Dr Piro, Joyce, Rosie, Kathy and everyone else at the clinic. I don"t enjoy chemo day or needle like things in my chest or my port but, at least with this crew it"s not so bad.
